The UltraSlick® Transfer Board, developed by Composite Medical Distributors (CMD ) is now available internationally. Developed and crafted by a quadriplegic seeking easier, more independent transfers, the UltraSlick® provides maximum strength with minimum weight, making it the ideal choice in transfer boards.

The UltraSlick® Transfer Board was initially tested in Veterans Administration Medical Center Spinal Cord Center in Baltimore, Maryland. For the past five years, CMD has supplied the UltraSlick® Transfer Board to all VA Spinal Cord Centers.

According to health care professionals and patients the UltraSlick® dramatically reduces the effort required to transfer. In some instances, the UltraSlick® board allowed independent transfers where they had not previously been possible.

How to order the UltraSlick®

The UltraSlick® Transfer Board employs state-of-the-art composite materials to create a laminated durable surface. It has tapered ends, rounded edges, and a composite surface overlaying select hardwoods for increased strength and durability. A lacquered back finish, combined with a lightweight board thickness of 7/16", allows for easy placement and reduces board movement during transfers. It is available in all standard sizes: 18-inch, 24-inch 27-inch, and 30-inch. Its composite surface produces a consistently slick surface that will never require waxing or refinishing. Two hand holes are available, and custom hand holes, including three holes per board, can also be provided.
